Micropol Fiberoptic signs significant contract with BAE SYSTEMS Hägglunds

Halmstad based company AB Micropol Fiberoptic has signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds for the delivery of field tactical fiber optic communication systems to BAE Systems Hägglunds’ combat vehicle type CV90. The contract includes deliveries to new as well as upgraded CV90 vehicles for Sweden and four other European customers. The order value is significant and includes deliveries until 2032.

The order will be produced in Micropol Fiberoptic’s facility in Åled outside Halmstad and adds significant production volume to the existing contracts with BAE Systems Hägglunds. “The new order is an important recognition of our excellent cooperation with BAE Systems Hägglunds”, Micropol’s CEO Peter Ljungkvist says. “It is rewarding to note how Micropol’s experience of digitalization and expertise in communication in harsh environments are recognized to offer operational advantages in the combat field, e.g. evident in the repeated trust that BAE Systems Hägglunds invest in us.”.
