Avioniq AB has signed a contract to deliver its AI-powered decision support capabilities for the Royal Air Force (RAF) Rapid Capability Office (RCO) on 6th February, 2023.
Under the contract, Avioniq’s proprietary technologies will support the RCO in enabling significantly enhanced combat aircraft survivability and pilot situational awareness in contested operating environments.
Designed to harness the threat analysis and force-multiplying capabilities of AI, Avioniq’s computing environment applications offer a step-change for beyond visual range (BVR) combat operations.
“Delivering success for combat operations means giving all parties real-time access to the threats posed by all actors in the battlespace, by allowing them to understand the critical decision to make for the best outcome for themselves, their teammates and the mission,” Mikael Grev, Founder and CEO at Avioniq, said. “We are pleased to begin working with the RCO to explore how our technologies can facilitate this in current and future operating concepts.”
Founded in 2015 by experienced Gripen pilots, computer engineers and doctors in sensor fusion and behavioural science, Avioniq is an innovator in software development for aircraft in the military aviation arena.
